Mercedes-AMG SLS

Starting point

The Mercedes-AMG SLS is a car on which early paint protection pays off particularly well: the sooner it is done, the longer paint and body stay in as-new condition. From Affalterbach to Schwaikheim is only 8 kilometres, so many customers bring their car to us straight after delivery. The SLS shown here in black and red, however, already carried some marks: surface scratches and holograms caused by incorrect polishing technique that had sanded the paint.

Work

The surface scratches were removed with clean paint technique and the holograms polished away. We sealed the paint with the LZ 730 brilliance sealant, which is suitable for every type of paint and can be applied straight after factory delivery. For protection against stone chips, scratches and insect etching, paint protection film was added to the complete front apron or front bumper, to the sill trims left and right and to the carbon trims in the door entry areas on both sides. After wrapping, the film was sealed with a spray gloss so that it stays smooth and dirt washes off more easily.

Result

The film is applied in such a way that it hardly shows. The paint has a smooth, glass-like surface with a deep gloss that emphasises the silhouette and makes the colour look richer; according to the report at the time, a durability of two years was stated for the LZ 730 sealant. For ongoing care we advise you on matched care products and will put together a care programme for you on request.
