Damage happensquickly
Damage happens quickly. We help you find the right solution for your vehicle or your upholstered furniture.
Whether body and paint damage, damaged furniture leather or stubborn soiling: we check which work is possible and discuss the procedure and the expected costs with you.
You already have an assessor's report? Feel free to bring it along. You can also contact us without one.
Here you will find information on your situation:
body, paint and vehicle detailing
damage to furniture and upholstery
mishaps involving other people's vehicles or furniture
Important: not every kind of damage or soiling is insured. Whether and to what extent an insurer covers costs depends on how the damage occurred and on the respective policy conditions.

Comprehensive cover
Comprehensive claims:bodywork and paint
Drop off the vehicle; we organise the agreed work.
You have vehicle damage and want to claim on your partial or fully comprehensive insurance? We inspect the damage and discuss the necessary work with you.
Body and paint work is carried out by our partner businesses. We handle the coordination and remain your contractual partner for the entire scope commissioned from us.
You bring your vehicle to us and collect it from us again once the agreed work is complete. You receive a single consolidated invoice from us.
Inspection
Our additional inspectionafter painting
After the paint work we inspect the result at our premises. We pay particular attention to the surface appearance and the paint gloss.
The finishing polish agreed with you is matched to the paint condition. If further rectification is needed, we coordinate it with our partner business.
Whether a finishing polish is reimbursed by the insurer must be clarified separately. Additional cosmetic services are not automatically insured. We discuss the scope and possible costs to you before you commission the work.

Checking what can be saved.
A fire, smoke as the result of a fire, or water damage from pipework can affect furniture considerably. Depending on the damage and the material, professional cleaning or reconditioning may be possible.
We check which measures are suitable for your piece of furniture and whether the work falls within our range of services.
We clean, repair and pigment furniture leather ourselves at our premises. Depending on the type and condition of the leather, we can treat damaged surfaces and rework the colour. We discuss the expected result and possible limits with you beforehand.
For other upholstered furniture too, we check whether professional cleaning or reconditioning is possible.
With fire and smoke damage it must first be clarified whether specialist testing for harmful substances or specialist remediation is required. Ordinary upholstery cleaning is not always sufficient for this.

Personal liability
Personal liability insurance:small mishaps
Help with soiling of other people's vehicles and furniture.
A drink tips over onto a friend's sofa, a child is sick during a car journey, or a leaking nappy soils someone else's car seat.
Such situations are unpleasant. We check discreetly and objectively which cleaning or reconditioning is possible.
Possible reasons for cleaning include, for example:
- spilled drinks on leather or fabric upholstery
- vomit on vehicle seats
- soiling from leaking nappies
- incontinence-related soiling in the vehicle or on furniture
These examples are not a promise of insurance cover. Personal liability insurance does not automatically cover such costs. Among the decisive factors are legal liability, the insured persons and the agreed tariff.
Your advantage
One contact personfor the agreed work
We coordinate the work on your vehicle commissioned from us, from our own services to the body and paint work of our partner businesses.
For you this means:

if required, organisation of a replacement vehicle by arrangement and subject to availability
final inspection and agreed finish at our premises
one consolidated invoice for the services commissioned from us
support with the insurance settlement, where agreed and possible
Do you need a replacement vehicle? Please speak to us as early as possible. We clarify availability, rental conditions and the expected costs with you. Whether your insurer covers these must be agreed separately.
Procedure
What to doafter damage occurs
- 01Document the damage
Photograph the affected area and note briefly when and how the damage occurred.
- 02Inform your insurer
If you want to claim on your insurance, report the claim without delay. An enquiry to us or filling in a settlement form does not replace this notification of the claim.
- 03Limit further damage
Take reasonable and safe measures to prevent the damage from getting worse. Follow your insurer's instructions. Urgent measures to mitigate the damage must not be delayed unnecessarily.
- 04Agree the work with us
We discuss the possible measures, the expected result and the expected costs. If an inspection or an estimate is chargeable, we inform you beforehand.
- 05Place the order
After this coordination, you commission the services you want. If additional work becomes necessary, we agree its scope and possible extra costs with you before carrying it out.
Questions and answers
What customers wantto know beforehand
Frequently asked questions about comprehensive motor insurance claims
Does it matter whether I have partial or fully comprehensive insurance?
Yes. The policies cover different risks. Partial comprehensive cover may apply, for example, to certain fire, glass or natural event damage. Fully comprehensive cover additionally includes, in particular, certain self-inflicted accident damage and vandalism damage. Your policy is decisive.
Can I present my damage to you despite an approved repairer clause?
For an initial enquiry you can contact us. Before commissioning, however, you should clarify with your insurer which requirements apply and whether handling through us is accepted. Even free choice of workshop does not automatically mean that all the intended costs are covered.
I already have an assessor's report. Can you work with it?
Yes. We take the documented damage into account and check the intended work. An assessor's report alone, however, is neither an order to us nor a binding commitment to cover costs.
What if there is no assessor's report yet?
You can still enquire. Whether an inspection, an estimate or an assessor's report is needed depends on the claim. For comprehensive motor insurance claims, agree any commissioning of your own assessor, and the costs of doing so, with your insurer beforehand.
Can you settle directly with my comprehensive motor insurer?
Yes, if your insurer agrees to direct settlement, we can submit the invoice directly to them and receive payment. We discuss the documents required for this with you.
An agreed excess and costs that your insurer does not cover may remain with you. We clarify possible costs to you as far as possible before you commission the work.
What applies if another road user caused the damage?
Then the other party's third-party motor liability insurance may be responsible, insofar as that party is liable for the damage. In this case too, we can organise the commissioned work. An appropriate assignment of claims can be agreed for the settlement. Where liability is disputed, independent legal advice is sensible.
Frequently asked questions about home contents and upholstered furniture
Does home contents insurance cover every kind of damage to a sofa?
No. What matters is whether an insured event has occurred. A drink you spilled yourself or an everyday stain is generally not insured under a typical home contents policy merely because a piece of furniture is affected. Special tariff agreements may differ.
Can you also work on high-quality leather furniture?
Yes. We check the type of leather, its condition and the pattern of damage. We then discuss whether cleaning, leather repair or pigmentation is suitable.
Does my damaged piece of furniture have to be replaced?
Not necessarily. Depending on the material and the extent of the damage, reconditioning can be an alternative. Not every kind of damage, however, can be rectified completely or without visible traces.
An assessor's report already exists. What do I do with it?
Feel free to bring the documents along. We take into account the findings relevant to our services and discuss how they might be implemented.
Should I dispose of the damaged piece of furniture immediately?
Where possible, agree disposal with the insurer first and document the damage. Follow the safety instructions of the relevant authorities. Items contaminated with hazardous substances should not be kept in use or stored unprotected solely to preserve evidence.
Do you settle directly with the home contents insurer?
We clarify the possible settlement route case by case. Our form for vehicle damage cannot simply be transferred to home contents claims. We therefore cannot promise direct settlement across the board.
Frequently asked questions about mishaps and personal liability insurance
My child was sick in a friend's car. Can you help?
Yes. We inspect the affected area and discuss which cleaning is possible. Whether the insurer pays must be clarified separately. With sudden vomiting there may be no legal liability. With small children, special liability rules and possible tariff benefits also come into play.
A nappy has leaked or there has been an incontinence incident. What can I do?
Document the soiling and contact us as soon as possible. Avoid aggressive cleaning agents and heavy soaking of the upholstery. We check how deeply the soiling has penetrated and which treatment is appropriate.
A drink has been spilled on someone else's leather sofa. Is that a liability claim?
Personal liability insurance may come into consideration. That depends, among other things, on how the damage occurred, who is liable for it and whether insurance cover exists. We can assess the necessary work professionally and describe the expected costs.
Does my personal liability insurance also pay for my own sofa or my own vehicle?
Damage to your own property is generally not covered by ordinary personal liability insurance. Special contractual extensions may differ. You can also commission cleaning or reconditioning from us independently of any insurance benefit.
Are parents automatically liable for damage caused by their children?
No. Parental liability does not follow simply from the fact that their child caused damage. Among other things, the child's age and a possible breach of the duty of supervision may play a role. Some tariffs provide additional benefits for damage caused by children who are too young to be held legally liable.
Can you confirm that the insurer has to pay?
No. We assess the material, the damage and the possible work. We do not carry out a legal assessment of liability or give a binding commitment regarding insurance benefits.
Costs and direct settlement
Do I have to pay anything myself despite having insurance?
That is possible. Excesses, uninsured additional services or other amounts not reimbursed may remain with you.
What you owe us depends on your order and the specific settlement agreements. An expected insurance payment does not automatically cancel your obligation to pay.
What does an assignment mean?
With an assignment you transfer the claims specified in it to us so that we can assert them directly to the agreed extent.
The assignment in our vehicle form is expressly intended for third-party motor liability claims. It is no guarantee that the insurer will cover all costs.
If, under this agreement, we hold you liable because the insurance payment is missing or incomplete, this is done against reassignment of the outstanding claim. Payments by the insurer towards our invoice are of course credited.
Can I also come to you without insurance cover?
Yes. You can also pay for suitable cleaning, reconditioning or repair yourself. We discuss the intended work and costs with you before you commission it.
Which documents help us?
For your initial enquiry, photos and a short description of the damage are usually enough.
- If available, the following also help:
- assessor's report or estimate
- claim number and the insurer responsible
- any information already available on cost coverage
- details of the vehicle, piece of furniture and material
- for furniture, proof of purchase where applicable
Please send only the information needed to handle your enquiry. We do not need medical documents or information about uninvolved persons for the initial assessment.
