Starting point
Like other Ferrari models, the 360 tends to develop sticky plastic parts in the interior over the years. On this 360 Spider the problem was far advanced: touching the switches left black fingers and marks on clothing. According to the report at the time, the hot summer of 2018 had taken its toll on many Ferraris, because slightly sticky surfaces can deteriorate noticeably within a few drives. The leather of the seats showed scratches and nicks and looked shiny and greasy. The paint was dull, with scratches and dents.
Work
We removed the sticky plastic parts from the car and restored them completely. All the symbols on switches, air vents and other controls were reproduced 1:1. On the leather we removed the scratches and nicks and completely re-pigmented the driver’s and passenger seats. New leather was not necessary for this. After the interior came the paint, with an extensive rework followed by the LZ730 brilliance sealant, which according to the report at the time makes the paint less sensitive and easier to care for.
Result
The plastic parts are restored, and the symbols on the controls are fully preserved. The leather is evenly matt, has a good grip and is easy to care for. The paint is reworked and sealed. After the work inside and out, the 360 Spider came close to new car condition, according to the report at the time.
