AMG GT Black Series

Starting point

An AMG GT Black Series in the very rare colour Solarbeam Yellow came to our workshop for a complete paint protection film wrap. It was not the first car of this type we have fully wrapped in paint protection film; the paint colour, however, made this project special. The aim was the best possible protection for the paint with optimum looks.

Work

We tailored the made-to-measure suit of paint protection film specifically to the car and had it pre-cut on our film plotter. As with all our wraps, we used LLumar Valor. According to the manufacturer’s figures in the report at the time, the film is around 200 µm thick, has a self-healing surface and a ceramic-like coating, does not yellow or lose gloss, is recognised by insurers and can stay on the paint for up to twelve years. A thinner film may not provide the desired protection. The job included a warranty card with roll number, which lets the manufacturer confirm that the film is genuine. We are a team certified by LLumar and GYEON and also hold the 1S certification for electric vehicles.

Result

The AMG GT Black Series is fully protected. The photos were deliberately taken in the sun and without Photoshop or filters. We have documented the whole project in detail on our YouTube channel. The film properties mentioned reflect the state of the report at the time; we discuss the product and warranty conditions for your car on the basis of the film currently in use.
