Tesla Sport Roadster

Starting point

For Tesla vehicles we have long been the port of call for customers and dealerships when it comes to leather damage such as scratches, holes or pressure marks, and to colour changes. Used cars do not sell well in every colour combination; that is why we quite often repigment Tesla vehicles. The red leather interior of this Sport Roadster was such a case. The aim was a repigmentation from red to black.

Work

We mix the leather colour pigments used individually in our workshop. For the new colour to last, for the surface to match the rest of the leather and for the abrasion resistance to withstand the strain, many components have to be right and mixed to suit one another. The working steps include degreasing, adhesion promoter, leather filler and final fixing; each of these is mixed separately and applied precisely. Technical leathers such as sun-reflective leather, also known as IR leather or COOL leather, can be reworked in this way too. Repigmentation is possible from dark to light and from light to dark.

Result

The leather interior of the Roadster has been repigmented from red to black. Before-and-after photographs document the colour change. For ongoing care we recommend a gentle leather care set.
