Starting point
Supercars like the Lamborghini Aventador sit very low. Getting in and out over the leather-trimmed sills rarely goes without leaving marks from shoes, and the side bolsters of the leather sports seats suffer too. On this Aventador the leather seats showed various instances of leather damage.
Work
We cared for the entire interior and repaired the damage to the leather seats. All the affected areas could still be repaired; the upholsterer was not needed. Before and after pictures document the work. A few tips from our experience: rivets, zips, rhinestones and other hard embellishments on trousers are poison for leather. On closed cars the leather should be cleaned and conditioned at least twice a year; on convertibles we recommend four treatments, because heat and UV radiation leach the leather. A common misconception is that an unused car or unused rear seats need no care. Even then the leather must be cleaned and conditioned at least twice a year to stay supple, regardless of whether anyone sits there. And have small signs of wear on the side bolsters repaired as early as possible, because once the damage is big, the upholsterer has to step in, and that gets expensive.
Result
The leather damage on the seats of the Aventador has been repaired, and the entire interior is cared for. We give you care tips for the time afterwards when you collect the car.
